Christian Action Brighton is a network of those social initiatives in the city with a clear Christian distinctiveness. We have a common desire to see our city transformed for good, releasing its full potential and building Brighton as a stronger and more caring place.

We serve alongside local authorities and other agencies to see these ends achieved, recognising that Jesus is working in many ways through diverse groups and individuals in our city. We want to bring mutual awareness and encouragement across the body of Christ. 

Christian Action Brighton focuses on social action initiatives, local politics, working with and supporting charities, churches and other projects that operate in and around Brighton. We encourage and facilitate collaboration and connection, and inspire Christians to make a difference in their community.

Why?

We want to empower and support the many excellent initiatives of Christian organisations in the City to have a coherent, compelling voice for the sake of the City, its occupants and its leaders (civic, political and others). 

Who?

The network is open to all projects and initiatives that hold a Christian distinctive at its heart. The projects cover an array of areas including  Addiction Support & Recovery, Community & Social Prescribing, Fostering & Adoption, Mental Health, Crisis Pregnancy, Bereavement, Debt Advice & Support, Disability, Environment & Creation, Food Insecurity, Homelessness & Housing, Prison & Ex-Offenders, Refugee & Asylum Support, Social Investment, Street Pastors, Trafficking & Vulnerable Women, Young People.

How?

We work to map, coordinate and facilitate healthy connections between groups and Our web site is a one-stop-shop for Christian social provision in the city, a news source and the place to find out about our networking events. 

We are keen to survey and report the operations and provision per ward to maximise the local connections and usefulness of each initiative.
