Churches That Change Communities - Brighton 2023

On Saturday 4th November 2023 Emmanuel church in Brighton hosted Jubilee+ annual conference, Churches That Change Communities, this year subtitled: Standing in the gap.

The meeting brought together about 350 participants. We were able to visit the exhibitions of quite a few charities and network in between the sessions, as well as take part in the morning and afternoon seminars, which allowed the dive deeper into some of particular topics.

The highlight of the day were the main sessions, during which everyone was able to worship, pray and be inspired by the keynote speakers: Natalie Williams in the morning and Kemi and Tope Koleoso in the afternoon. The talk by Tope has especially made a big impact, being very thought provoking and challenging.

There is nothing as heartwarming as seeing a huge group of people in one place, who are ordinary Christians doing extraordinary things - going out of their way and comfort zone to extend the love, mercy and grace of Christ to others. I could only wish that this event awakens more hearts into action in this city and beyond.
