CAP Call on UK Government
Neil Avard, centre manager at the Hove branch of Christians Against Poverty has called on the UK government to ‘use every mechanism available to them’ to provide relief to the poorest in society as the cost of living crisis deepens.
“We want them to uprate benefits in line with current inflation levels and to pause conducting debt repayments from benefits” said Neil. "A cost of living review of social security should be conducted to identify how welfare policies are collectively failing to ensure everyone has a liveable income."
